Introducing our New Chairs
YCFPE's public-facing co-chairs are elected to two-year terms. This fall we affirmed and welcomed a new chair team to lead our group.
Riya Bhatla - Student Co-chair
Riya is a third year student in York University's concurrent education program, and a YRDSB graduate. She has been a part of YCFPE since its inception, bringing in other young voices through personal contacts and social media savvy. She is pleased to be staying on for her second term as co-chair.
Sandra Huh - Parent Co-chair
Sandra has been an active member of YCFPE for two years. She has a young son who attends a YCDSB school. Sandra brings her positive energy and creative spirit to the table and has already rolled up her sleeves on many of our projects this fall.
We need your help! Do you want to contribute to planning and undertaking YCFPE events and campaigns? Maybe you have social media smarts, can help run an event, or would like to be on a planning committee? Let us know!
Future Initiative Planning
If you'd like to be kept in the loop about activities that suit your interest, please update your volunteer preferences.
At our meeting, we introduced a new document that will be used for planning and reporting on new initiatives. This will streamline our planning, improve transparency, and to make it easier for others to get involved. If you have a big idea you'd like to bring to the table, you may use this document to structure your proposal to the group. There's no need to fill it out to completion; this is meant to be a starting point for dialogue.
